LOCATION: The Eisenhower Inn & Conference Center will be the site for ENCOUNTER 2003. Located just 4 miles south of downtown Gettysburg in US Business Rt. 15. Exit from the Rt. 15 By-pass at Steinwehr Ave. and travel 2 miles north. In addition to its convenient location, the Eisenhower features fine accommodations, excellent restaurant, lounge, indoor pool, market deli/gift shop, and state-of-the-art fitness room and tennis courts. The All Star Family Fun and Sports Complex immediately adjoins the hotel and offers a whole array of activities for children and adults. PLANS INCLUDE: Road Rallye: The rolling hills of Gettysburg will provide a unique and scenic backdrop for what will be a special rallye experience.Gymkhana: This traditional feature of ENCOUNTER will take place on another of those famous "Del Border" layouts for those who want to put their cars to the test. Funkhana: This competition run is for fun and has a Civil War theme complete with a working cannon! Popular Car Show: Car show with popular voting open to all Healeys including modified, special interest and diamond in the rough. Concour d"Elegance: One of the few opportunities for official Concour judging. Participants must obtain their packet from the National Concour Registry prior to ENCOUNTER. See ENCOUNTER registration form for more information. Eisenhower Farm Tour: Tour the home of our 34th President Dwight Eisenhower, now a National Historic Site at 1:45PM on Thursday and Friday. Purchase tickets in advance on the registration form. Bic Healey Art Auction/Raffle- You will have the unique opportunity to purchase original signed paintings by Bic Healey. These paintings will be offered only and exclusively at ECNOUNTER 2003. Most paintings will be sold through silent auction and a few will be raffled.
