Encounter 2005 Featuring:

Ride The Ducks for 80 minutes of entertainment and information as you tour the Historic District, South Street and Society Hill. You’ll see the Betsy Ross House, Ben Franklin’s grave, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, South Street, Bishop White House, Vietnam War Memorial, National Constitution Center, City Tavern, and Penn’s Landing. Then splash into the Delaware at Penn's Landing for a relaxing cruise–all on board one amazing vehicle.

Our private Duck tour includes round trip transportation to and from the Duck Tour, dinner at the Spaghetti Warehouse and of course.. Free Quackers for everyone!

Since 1934 the drive-in Movie Theater was a staple in cities around the world. It was a great way to spend an evening with friends and family. Today the drive-in movie theater is almost as rare as our Austin-Healeys and is seen ironically in movies about days long gone. But now for the first time, the Philadelphia Region is proud to offer the FIRST Austin-Healey Drive-In night.
We will be showing a double feature exclusively for our club. This fantastic and unique event is FREE with your picnic dinner tickets, so be sure to order them early to ensure your spot. No need to hide your extra kids and family in the trunk. Lawn chairs are encouraged!

The Encounter Rally will take you  through  Chester County’s back roads criss-crossing many of the wineries and historic covered bridges featured on the club’s website.  For those not wishing to join the competitive rally, several self-directed driving tours through the same region will be offered in your registration package.  These will end within a short distance of the QVC studios and American Helicopter museum.  April’s club website will feature these attractions.

You will return to the hotel in time for a short nap followed by the first annual Valve Cover race (we hope the MG club will answer our challenge).  Trophies for the day's events will be awarded at the
evening’s wine & cheese social.  The charity auction will follow.

The Davies Cup
A
long with all of the other exciting new events at Encounter 2005, each region can now compete in our newest event - valve cover racing. This event is not for the faint of heart. Each car will be raced on a track built to exacting specifications and each car must adhere to a strict set of rules to compete. The event is being organized and run by our club’s own master mechanic and valve cover race expert, John Davies. This is an event for which everyone needs to begin planning now! This is a trophy event and awards will be given to the winning cars! Download instructions on our site!
